The Public Relation Officer (PRO) Okpella Progressive Union, Port Harcourt Chapter, Mr. Isaac Adurogbe, had received an Award of Outstanding Community Peacemaker of the year 2021.
The presentation of the award was held at Okpella, October 17, 2021, when The United Nations marked the the 23rd World Poverty Eradication Day 2021 in conjunction with the Sunlight City Foundation, founded by Professor Sunday Onobumhe.
The event was themed, “productive jumanitarian support for community transformation as a tool for poverty eradication”
Isaac Adurogbe, in a brief Interview with Okpella TV, expressed his gratitude to the Sunlight City Foundation for the honor and recognition.
“I think I learnt one or two lessons about this wonderful Award. One lesson keep sowing seed that’s good, a day is coming you harvest the crops.
“OPU World-Wide Platform was reviled to me a dream all along am been thinking what must I do to better Okpella and not what Okpella will do for me. Today am happy that coordinate where can come together to discuss the bad, urgly and the good of our Okpella.
“I thank God for the Supports of every Okpellan and I never knew that the creation of OPU WORLD-WIDE platform, my videos clip posted, voice note posted will one day shot me up the ladder of collecting Award from Sunlight City Foundations in conjunction with United Nations.
“I thank my beautiful wife who always encourage me, my children and my beloved Dora Ikiode for her words of encouragement.
“My advice to us let’s come together and build a better Okpella we can call our own and for all to achieve this we needs to forgives each other and tell ourselves the Truth”.
